Main Dining Room - A casual restaurant overlooking the swimming pool that serves fresh, healthy international fare inspired by the tastes of the Caribbean. Five nights are á la carte, two are buffet. T-shirts, tank tops, shorts and sneakers are not allowed at dinner
Feathers - A gourmet restaurant with a menu full of international delights, native flavors
and island specialties. Men must wear a shirt with collar, long pants and dress

Couples Swept Away has undergone an extended expansion project. In 2004, 72 new “Verandah” suites and 3 new room categories were added. Previously, the categories of suites were Garden Suites, Atrium Suites and Beachfront Suites. These are the rooms you will hear referred to as the “original section” of Couples Swept Away. New buildings were added to house new suites, with 3 new categories of rooms: Garden Verandah Suites, Ocean Verandah Suites, and Beachfront Verandah Suites.
All rooms are air conditioned with ceiling fan, King Bed or 2 Double Beds (only Garden Suites category rooms have Double beds, all others have King), private shower, telephone, CD player/radio, blow dryer, safety deposit box, balcony/terrace.
Garden Suites: Rooms with a view of lush tropical gardens, All rooms air conditioned with ceiling fan, King Bed or 2 Double Beds, private shower, telephone, CD player/radio, blow dryer, safety deposit box, balcony/terrace. Nightly turndown service. Buildings are located on the perimeter of the property, 8 or 10 suites on each block, situated on the 1st or 2nd floor.
Atrium Suites: Rooms with a view of lush tropical gardens. All rooms air conditioned with ceiling fan, King Bed, private shower, telephone, CD player/radio, blow dryer, safety deposit box, balcony/terrace with hammock. Nightly turndown service. , Located in the center of the property, 1st or 2nd floor, each villa has 4 Suites.
Beachfront Suites: Rooms with view of the Caribbean Sea (may be obstructed by lush vegetation) All rooms air conditioned with ceiling fan, King Bed, private shower, telephone, CD player/radio, blow dryer, safety deposit box, balcony/terrace with rocking chair. Regular visitors to this resort often prefer the “original section” because of the ambience, as well as the proximity to dining, lobby, pools and watersports. Our personal preference is the atrium category of the “original section” mostly because we like the private hammock, no TV, and prefer the style of the original rooms. Many guests prefer 2nd floor accommodations, because of the exposed beams and the guests walking the paths near the verandahs. We did not find this a problem in our first-floor room, we could see the gardens and the beach, as well as the occasional passing couple or staff member. The foliage is denser in the old section (less so after Hurricane Ivan) and we enjoyed the convenience of using our back-door for walking in/out almost exclusively.
If you book in the new section, your verandah will be smaller than the original units, and all suites have a TV, bathtub, and minibar. Tropical foliage is newer, so less dense. The atmosphere in the newer section is more “hotel-like” but accommodations and furnishings are more updated. The new buildings are 3-story, 12 units per building. There is a new hot tub located in the center of the area with the new buildings – it’s great for late-night soaks or early-morning relaxation. It is our understanding that the next phase of the expansion project will include a pool with swim up bar.
